scicon phantom 230
scicon phantom 230
Anyone have one? My question is how much can it really hold? I currently have the Lezyne Micro Caddy but since i have my seat on the forward side, it bounces around too much. I would like to carry a tube, air chuck, patch kit, 2-3 16oz CO2 and 2 levers. Will they all fit in the Phantom? |
I doubt it. I'm currently using the Scicon Compact 430 and it's already pretty a snug fit with tube, 1 CO2, 2 levers, air chuck with some (little) space to spare.

Yes. I own the Scicon Phantom 230 and the Compact 430
Phantom: Tube, 2 tire levers, 2 16 oz. CO2, GI Air Chuck Elite, patch kit, and tire boot. Compact: 2 tubes, 2 tire levers, 2 16 oz. CO2, GI Air Chuck Elite, and tire boot. It all depends on which tubes you use. I don't think I could fit all of that in either bags if it were Continental Race's in them. Conti Race Lights, Supersonics, Michelin Air Comp both Latex and Ultra Light all help get all that stuff in. |
I also have the Compact 430. 1 tube, 1 lever, 2 CO2 tubes, an air chuck, and a Lenzyne multi-tool all fit, albeit snugly. I don't think the 230 is big enough for all that you wish to fit in it.

It will fit.

I am looking at the Phantom 230 as well.
Will 2 levers, a tube, and a small muti-tool fit okay? Also, anyone know of a good deal/price on-line for one? |
I can fit the Topeak ToolBar tool kit in place of one of the two CO2s. It works because of the shape, I'd imagine traditional multi-tools, even small, would be hard to fit.
