Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5 vs. Jamis Xenith Race Femme
Hi.
My wife has gotten back into cycling in a serious way and wants to upgrade her ride. She has narrowed it down to the Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5 and the Jamis Xenith Race Femme.
She seems to prefer the ride on the Jamis but is concerned about comfort on long rides since it is technically a racing bike. The Cannondale stresses comfort but she doesn't find it as responsive. She usually does 25-50 mile rides on weekends and a few 20+ milers during the week when she has time. Her ambition is to a couple of century rides next year.
Can anyone give us an opinion on the comfort aspect of either or both bikes on long rides?
Thanks.

hard to answer be cause it's so subjective. i ride mostly in the drops, even when climbing, so i prefer a more aggressive set up. you may just have to gamble. the C'dale would be easier to sell, down the line, as she adapts to a more weight forward stance and wants something racier.
