Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This.

However, they do a no questions asked replacement of any defective parts with out the hassle of having to send anything back to them. Ive used it once, it was amazing how quick it was

That is the same thing I was wondering. They say they have a lifetime warranty AND a lifetime crash replacement policy.

Sounds like a BS marketing pitch.

Maybe they should add a free replacement policy if hit by a meteor.

So I was digging around on their website and I found the answer...somehow this doesn't seem like a deal to me!

From their website:
However, we understand that accidents can happen involving our products,
so we also offer a crash replacement policy for incidents not covered by our
lifetime warranty. Here is how it works: Kinetic will replace any part or parts
on your Kinetic Trainer that are damaged due to an accident, regardless of the
cause of that accident, and within reason for a $50.00 cost plus the cost of
parts and shipping charges.

So if I drop the trainer off the top of my house and trash it, KK will replace the trainer for $50+the price of the trainer+shipping WOW!

but they already have a lifetime warranty. How do you damage a trainer other than parts failing under normal use (which would be under the lifetime warranty)?

I think I'd have a hard time breaking my CycleOps Fluid 2 other than normal wear and tear. They're pretty strong, I can't really think of a weak point.

They're basically saying that if anything breaks due to normal wear and tear they'll fix it for free. But if you do something dumb like drop it down a flight of stairs or it burns down in a house fire, they'll fix it for $50.00.
