Off-season tires
I have a question for those of us who live in mild enough climates to train year-round: What tires do you use when the road gets gunkier, and variables such as durability, flat resistance, etc., begin to matter (more)? I used Specialized Armadillos last year and seemed to flat a lot, and even fractured the kevlar reinforcement.
I'm looking at tires in the Continental lineup, because of price. Any advice for someone interested in the Grand Prix 4000 vs. Gator Ultraskin vs. Grand Prix 4-Season?

I had the Ultra Gatorskins on my rain bike, but had some issues in turns with them. Got to where I lost all confidence in them in the wet weather. I recently switched to the 4-season model and they seem better in the same situation. They seem to roll easier and are more comfortable also. I'm using the 28's and they look the same size as the Gatorskins in 25.
