Garmin 500.

So far 15K miles, completely trouble free, love it, use it with 5 different bikes, it locates and syncs with the sensors flawlessly.

Garmin makes millions in profit, so yes you are indeed correct.

Garmin Edge 305 user here. It's great but I wish I had the 500.

I have the forerunner 305 and love it. I can wear it on my wrist for running or hiking and on the bike bar too. For me its ideal, and has been trouble free.

The Garmin Forerunner 405 is on sale for $184.30 with free shipping here. I have a Cateye Strada Wireless and I love it. I may also pick up the Garmin for running.

Really liked my Cateye Strada wireless. However, the OP specifically mentioned cadence and HRM. For that I too vote Garmin Edge 500 which, concidentally, replaced my Cateye. Love it.

Yep. When reading reviews all I look for are the potential issues which might be deal breakers in terms of functionality for my purposes.

Like others have stated i'm happy with my edge 500. Been solid since i've had it and trouble free.

I've been using the Rox 9.0 for a year and a half and it's been great. Not sure what your problems are or why you don't like it, but the guys at customer service are awesome. I'm sure if your having a service issue with the computer they'd bend over backwards to help out. My computer popped out of the cradle and was run over by a car. They sent me a replacement without even asking for the broken computer.
