The Human Patience

So i just bought my first road bike last night, i had a 15 mile ride all mapped out and i was PUMPED! i could hardly sleep last night!

i wake up the POURING DOWN FREAKIN RAIN.

Time to utilize The Human Patience.

you don't ride in the rain? what kind of cyclist are you?

This morning it was raining and pretty windy. Just put on the rain cape and went. The only time I'd let rain stop me so far was when we had the remnants of a tropical storm come through. Even then it was mostly the wind that kept me in.

it would be my first real road ride, i think it would be best to wait till tomorrow :)

A dry one?

A parody of your own thread. Is that allowed?

Ridding in the rain isn't all that bad if its not to cold and if you are reasonably careful. While you are ridding in the great outdoors you can think of all those cyclist indoors on there trainers.

The next time you're ridding yourself of things make sure it's not your spelling text.;)

I see you got the Felt! Congrats. I would say you got a really good deal. Don't listen to these clowns wanting you to ride that Felt in the rain. I will not ride my Felt (or Cannondale) in the rain! Never. That is what my Jamis is for. Time to save up a few hundred for that rain bike now.

I've ridden in the rain twice in the last 5 years. We have over 300 days w/o rain here in Austin, so there's really no reason to do it for me.

I'd love to be riding in the rain today...
Its -14 and we have 4 feet of snow on the lawn.
