Woohooo!!!! New frameset on it's way...Colnago CX-1
After planning on purchasing a Fuji Altamira for a while (since I first saw it) I ended up having a change of heart. For some reason I have been checking out a bunch of different bike sites and then for some reason I gave WrenchScience a phone call. After that call I gave them another call, followed by a couple more calls. After the fifth or six call I ended up giving them a bunch of numbers that were on my paypal debit card.
Well, once all was said and done I said thank you, they said thank you, and they will be sending me a tracking number tomorrow. This should be arriving at my door next Tuesday.

One of the best frames out there. Nice choice. The Altimara looks nice, but I just don't get the whole integrated seatpost thing. Plus the Sl-1 was light, but average in all other departments so I am not sure how well the Altimara will turn out.. I got to spend some time on a CX-1 and it is a very nice ride.

Anybody can keep up with my slow butt, however I am going to be going slow on a pretty decent bike.

WAY nicer than the Fuji. Be sure to put Campy on that frame!

Sorry, going with SRAM red shifters, SRAM Quarq crankset, and SRAM force derailleurs. Taking the parts off my Kestrel to build it.

BTW - that's an especially nice looking frame.

Nothing is wrong with the Kestrel, I just don't like the green on it so I'm getting something different. I knew when I bought the Kestrel that it was only a temporary bike so it certainly served it's purpose.

LowCel Vaporware.
Colnago. God help us. My racing pal Don had a Colnago Bititan (Ti frame) in the mid 90's. It snapped in two places. He rides a Cervelo now.

So after he snapped his Colnago he gave up? That is so sad.

Honest question. What makes this better than the Kestrel frame?

It doesn't have green on it. On top of that I have always lusted over Colnago's so I just couldn't pass this one up.

Nice choice! My LBS (Big Bang Bicycles) is a Colnago dealer, so I constantly eye all the Colnago candy while there. Lucky for me, I get to go there later today to look for a headlight.
