Depression

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Never mind Addiction or its pale immitation Obsession. How about Depression?

The days are short and the riding is cold. Cycling is not nice in winter.

How long does "winter" last in the UK? A month?

Try November through May.

I rode yesterday. It was in the high 30s. Snow on the shoulder. Had a great ride & stayed warm. When there's too much snow on the road, I ski.

What's not to love about that?

Yea the weather suddenly plummeted into the low 80s a few days ago and has been steadily decreasing here in frosty California.
