I too, have raced and trained with guys/girls who were/are at the highest level. They're like liquid silk to ride with, their intuition is astounding. While I'm certainly nowhere near that level, I do have some tricks the young guys are ignorant of......
*head butting
*elbow in the ribs
*jersey pulling
*banging drops
*pump in front wheel

Been watching "Breaking Away" and "American Flyers" on the ol' VCR, haven't we?

One trick you didn't mention - pulling alongside, reaching over and shifting your opponent into a higher gear on a climb (works with DT and barcon shifters).

*Why can't I capitalize "EPO"??*

Because there's a FLaMInG filter.

And EPO won't help his power! It don't work that way!

What do you think E.P.O. does for an athlete? Build muscles?

Old FART'S sneaky tactics:-

Part 1:
Was out spinning this morning when a couple of young guys passed me, so I tacked on the back and rode to the top of one of our challenging hill climbs with one of the lithe young guys, let him half-wheel me most of the way up, then kicked away just near the top...... a consolation victory for this old fart after the crit training hammering I got the other night.

Yes, the look on their faces as you pass them is truly priceless! Been there, done that. :thumb:
