Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR Wheelset - Clincher

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Took them for the first ride and they seemed to provide a harder ride than my old Easton Circuits. However I also changed tire and was running Gator Skins so I don't know if the ride is related to wheels or the tire, it is probably both. The harder ride is not so bad that I would go back to the Eastons, though I will try a pair of Conti Attacks in the spring. During the cold weather the extra flat protection of the Gator Skins seems more important than a harder ride.

They do seem more efficient at high speed and head wins. I was able to hold 21 mph on a long flat section with very little effort.

Funny in the past people gave me a hard time about not posting photos. This time a take the time to post and take a good photo and not one person says a thing?

When I mounted the tire I tried to line-up the Gator Skins label with the wheel label, looks good? Thinking about removing the other decals on the wheels.

I know I shouldn't be keeping a dead thread alive... but stop. I think people are done now.
