What should I do next?
I'm currently riding a CAAD9-7 that has some minor upgrades to it, and with the coming bad weather in the Midwest I'm trying to figure out some ideas for what to do come next spring and the riding season.
Here's the build as of now.
Caad9-7 BBQ frame
Stock seatpost,collar,stem
Stock Cannondale hubs to CXP22 rims.
Full '08 SRAM Rival (Compact crank, 11-23 cassette)
Salsa bars (to be replaced with FSA wing Pro compact bars)
Fizik Arione
So hypothesize it's your bike, what would you do from here?

Figure out a way to train in the next 4 months so that you don't feel like a n00b when you hop back on your bike next spring?
I've been hearing good things about this: https://www.kurtkinetic.com/

There's nothing wrong with that bike as it is now. Though if you really want an upgrade, new wheels are where it's at....

Your bike is fine as it is. Light years better than a lot of others starting out in this eating disorder of a sport. Look at yourself and your own body to find points of improvement.
How is your cardio? How is your leg strength? Any extra pounds that can come off?
Gadgets to think about: a power meter, a heart rate monitor, a body composition scale, a quality fluid trainer (or a computrainer if you're rolling in money).

- Wheels
- Skewers (better if the wheels come with skewers)
- Tires

I'd go with a new set of wheels, those cxp22's are pretty heavy. If your looking at shaving weight off the bike a new set of wheels is definitely a place to start.

The bike is on a trainer now (Cyclops Fluid, not too bad) and I went for rides two of the last three days. I'm a 6'1" 185 lbs guy, sure I could drop ten pounds without issue. I'm currently working out with a trainer on a non-bike specific workout but it's getting to the point where he's changing around the workouts so they are more endurance and bike specific.
It's my second year riding and this year I've done 4 crits and 3 road races this year. I know I'm not going all of the sudden put myself at the front of the paceline with a couple of upgrades; I'm just getting the beginning of cabin fever and need something to look forward to!
