Newbie Wheel Question
A friend of mine left me this wheel and I'm not sure what application I could use this in.
I was wondering if you all could enlighten me on what type of bike I should use this on, what the best use of this wheel is, and if there is anything else I'm not smart enough to ask about. Attached are two pictures, if they're not from the correct angles, please just let me know and I'll take some more. Thanks all.

That is a rear fixed or singlespeed hub with an eccentric axle. It is used in a bike with standard vertical dropouts which offer no means of chain tensioning. You rotate the axle in the dropout, pushing the hub to the rear, until you have sufficient chain tension then tighten the axle bolt.

+1 - Singlespeed/FG Flip-flop hub. Eccentric. you can use it on any setup regardless of whether or not you need to use the eccentric capability. Measure the width of the hub axle (don't count the bolts that thread into the ends. That distance will tell you what kind of frame it is meant to be used in. Odds are it is 127mm or 130mm.
Read this article to familiarize yourself with exactly what you are dealing with. You can convert many setups to run single speed if it interests you. If so then I would suggest heading over to the SS/FG forum on this board for advice and support. If it doesn't interest you then you can always list the wheel on craigslist and it will be snatched up in about 3 seconds by a myriad of Hipsters looking to complete their rig on the cheap.
Good luck and enjoy the ride.
