Mine too! Except, for me, I have quite the gut that im working on getting rid of. Right now, though, it's the only option

You should always measure it in cm so it seems longer.

Hahaha. That sounds like the punch line to a dirty joke!

Like 90% of questions asked in BF, the correct answer is "it depends."

keisatsu 01-09-11 05:49 PM

my saddle is level with my bars.

Mine, too. Actually level on one bike, about a half-inch higher on the other. I ran about a 3-inch drop for years until I bought my Atlantis and Grant Petersen convinced me to set it up with the bars level with the saddle. That was five years ago, and I'm never going back.

Velo Gator 01-09-11 06:20 PM

Yeah I was just kidding y'all, here's my drop.

one around 4-5

rat fink 01-10-11 08:11 AM

Heres some tips for the posers, just drop your bars as low as possible, cut the steerer tube down to the max. Push seat foward all the way and raise saddle height until your legs have zero bend. Flip stem facing down, longer stem is better. Who cares about ergonomics, its all about the coolness factor!

Anyone know what bars those are? Looks like something I have been trying to achieve with my set up.

How do you like them? Particularly, how do they feel in hooks?

I have found it preferable that the tops be almost parallel to the road. I rarely use the tops, but do flatten my hand to span the space between the tops and the hoods on occasion. That being said, the bars do look cool, but do you find that you experience any unusual fatigue by having a severe slope down to the hoods? It almost looks like the levers are mounted to high on the bar in order to achieve the flat drop.

I love them, favorite bars all around. Drops and tops and hoods are good.
