i can't search for embrocation? wth?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What do you want to know about embrocation? I have some experience with some different types and use it all the time.

Is this a trap? Google only returns results from the BF archives. Bumping a thread in there will lead to your inevitable "ZOMG ZOMBIE THREAD LULZ" comment.

If you start your reply with "I know this is an old thread, but..." you're usually safe. Same goes for "I already tried a search" unless it's a topic that's so prevalent that you couldn't miss it if you misspelled the term.

Amazing trick using Google. Actually search the forums and don't have to hold your mouth 'just right'. That is why Google will take over one day.

You bumped a thread for no reason, and there have been 1 million + BF threads since the one you bumped, anyway.

If by "no reason" you mean to get a conversation started about a subject that wouldn't do so well in a new thread, then yes, I bumped a thread for no reason.

Off topic - how is averaging almost 70 posts/ day even possible?

It's not a trap - it's how you find and read information. Kind of like how some places have FAQ's so you don't have to ask questions that have already been answered or bump 5 year old threads. Did they stop teaching people how to research when the internet came out?

So you are assuming that my post in that one thread was the only "research" I had done? Did they stop teaching people about unfounded extrapolation... ever?

Unfounded? Hardly. That post you made that resurrected a 5-year-old Bikes Direct thread would be competitive in a "Most Redundant Bike Forums Post EVER" contest.

And you can't even get over being rightfully bashed over that - you have to drag its whining carcass into other threads.

What I replied to was the fact that I hadn't done any research. The extrapolation happened when the poster made a correlation between the age of a thread and the amount of research I had done on the subject.

I get it, BD threads are annoying and bumping old threads is annoying. But stop ignorantly extrapolating things that aren't there.

Is there anything specific to embrocation that you wish to know that isn't covered in your prior research? I have used it for the past 4 years and am pretty familiar with it, but haven't used a wide variety of them.
