What is this on Cav's bike?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What is this on Cav's bike?

Any idea what the black spot is on Cav's bars? Bad tape job? Di2 shift button? On off switch for the sprint motor?

The latter. But it's a cruising motor... they don't provide enough torque for an all-out sprint. It saves the rider's energy so he can sprint faster when the time comes...

It's a switch for a prototype laser beam that shoots at the tires in front of you.

Its the button to release banana peels and hopefully cause a crash. If he's way behind, its a blue spiked shell.

From the looks of all the bandages, he forgot to eat his invincible star before using his turbo mushrooms. Damn Yoshi.

I could be wrong, but I think it is one of these:

He seems to have taped over most of it and cleverly painted it black as to disguise it.

By looking at all the bandages, I'm guessing it's this product:

It is a Di2 shift button. Meant for when you're sprinting in the drops and still want to shift.

Obviously not, but he did admit that he's not at optimal weight right now (Super Mario even called him fat), which is no surprise since it's January and all. It doesn't help that the new HTC kit isn't the most flattering.
