Caught by Google

Guys at work were looking at Google Streetview when I vaguely remembered having seen their car go by while I was out for a ride last summer, after five minutes of looking, there I was. What the heck am I doing with my arms :o .

So can you sue them now because you were suppose to be "at work" at that hour of day?

jasandalb 01-20-11 03:03 PM

ha! that's awesome! they caught my dad outside his building...but I guess they came through the area again and updated a bunch of views.
They originally did my house in the winter, now its a pic that was taken this past summer.

Awesome! I wish that would happen to me!

They took a the pictures of the other side of the street on a different day. Maybe even in a different season or year:

I love the Norwegian guys who dressed in scuba gear and chased the car with pitchforks.

i remember a google camera car driving by when i was trying to shove a gigantic sandwich into my mouth. Luckily it never made it into the final cut.

Actually I am pretty embarrassed about the seat pack.. that's what you meant, right?

PSPSARGE 01-21-11 04:11 PM

[QUOTE=RacerOne;12105291] What the heck am I doing with my arms : My guess is you are giving yourself a very stiff neck but at least you have the sun at your back.

For shame! Only Freds and pros use seat bags.

jefferee 01-21-11 05:21 PM

Here I am, caught from a bit of a distance. I actually went right by the streetview car but on a section of street that was photographed at a slightly different time, so this was about as close as I appear on camera.

I'm doing the stiff-arm as well, oddly enough.

I was commuting to work, hence the panniers. My seat bag is probably hiding inside one of them.

I just google mapped my neighborhood looking for myself. No luck.

urbanknight 01-22-11 12:07 AM

That's cool! The most I've ever found is my car parked in my driveway only a few months after I moved there.

They have an auto face recognizing system that blurs faces.

Could you imagine loosing that job to a computer?

rooftest 01-22-11 08:22 AM

That's pretty cool - talk about finding a needle in a haystack!
