I thought the taller HT option of the current Madone line would have been enough. I hadn't realised that the wheelbase was such a factor. The roubaix has a 13mm longer wheelbase than the same sized (49) tarmac. Is that a significant? I guess so. The HT has a 25mm difference.
What I find interesting is the r&d they seem to be putting in or maybe I'm just falling for the PR. It will be good to have choices in this segment - they're far more suited to real world applications. I wonder what mystical marketing material will be used to compete against zertz  |
now it says explorer can't display, what is it about?

Spartacus wants his Roubaix back NAO!!

Maybe PEDALS (poly-elastic dampening absorption limiting system)... Whatever, you can bet some Trek think-tank and focus-groupery is going on |

I've always wondered why Trek let this segment go, that and high end CX bikes until very recently. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Works Ok on mine.
If that is Treks response I think they are going to fail, I could be wrong but that was ugly IMO. Maybe a good paint job will turn it around, who knows. |
