First time crashing
 

I was just mentioning to some of the other on my team that I have never crashed. Well today, I can no longer say that. Broke my Ionos [Best $200 I have spent], bent my rear deraileur mount, and got some scrapes on the components and frame.
I am a little sore but the guy behind me hit really hard, fractured his hip, and is now in the hospital.
The cause of it all is when I downshifted while making a break [hammering up a hill, last two miles] the chain slipped or something, and I fell to the right, he hit me on the left, and some one else hit me on the right. Rain did not help in the matter either.
I feel that it is my fault but not because I did something stupid, just because I fell like I caused all the mayhem.
So, do I applogize to everyone or just blame it on the risks of group riding/racing.

Be humble and apologize, it is group riding/racing, but being cool and saying, my bad guys sorry, goes a long way.

that sucks man im sorry but glad you are ok.. i would also apologize as well. crap happens thats just part of it but i would still make my apologies.
