A good entry level bike?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I would recommend the Fuji Newest or the Scott. My Lbs is a dealer for both and gave me one of each to ride while my Fuji was in the shop. They both ride very well.

I think ima go with craigslist and wait it out to see if I can get any good deals. Im in no rush to get a bike immediately so I think craigslist should alright if I give it time. What do you guys think about this bike? https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/2219255271.html 2003 trek 1000. 7-8 year old bike with sora components for $275. not too bad?

So I found this bike on craigslist. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik/2230251101.html What do you guys think? It looks to be the 2006 model with 105 components. Bikepedia https://bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeS...eed)&Type=bike says it retailed for around 1150 when it was new. Don't know if it's the triple or double. What are your thoughts on it? 5-6 year bike with 105 components. I'll probably call him later to see what size it is and if it'll fit. For a 5-6 year bike you think I can talk him down from 500? Thanks
