Felt F75 or Caad10-5........

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

probably a tossup. i don't know exactly how the mavic cxp22 wheels compare to shimano's rs10 (probably similar). the felt does have a shimano crank versus the crappy (in my experience) fsa gossamer on the caad10. based on that, i'd strongly consider the felt.

disclaimer: i've never ridden either bike.

I'm sure most will say CAAD10. I got the same advice at several LBSs. I was considerting Scott, Felt, and many other brands at the same price point. Ended up getting the CAAD10 4. It hasn't arrived yet, but I did ride the CAAD9 and it felt great. Very light and very responsive. I can't wait to get on the road.

Can you actually find an F75? I was looking and looking and looking and just when I was about to give up, I came across a 2010 F5 for the same price as the 2011 F75 (2010 was marked down that much...) Made for an easy decision. I love my F5.

I was in the same boat last year around October. I ended up with the caad(9 at the time) and couldn't be happier. I Really really like the felt... but the caad9 was just what I wants in the end.

keep in mind that I wasn't concerned about components cause I had upgrades planned already

I rode a CAAD9-x (I think it was the blue one....I don't remember) and then rode the Felt F75 and to me (and my butt) the difference was night and day. The Felt seemed to be a lot smoother, more responsive and faster. If you can ride them back to back, I'd recommend it.

They also asked me to ride a Felt F5, but it felt and sounded like I was being chased by bees (I haven't test rode a carbon frame since). The last was a Felt Z6, but felt like I was sliding off the back. Out of those and others that I don't recall what they were, the Felts fit like a glove, I got a more advanced fitting since it fit so well (F75 54). I can't wait until the temps get higher here....

I originally wanted a 2009, because of the paint (red with white striping/lettering) but they had the 2010s in. I'm very happy with it, I just can't ride as much as I want. Mine has black tape, saddle, AR3 wheels and full Ultegra...I'm so not worthy of its speed but it so fun.

Try them both out.

I tried a CAAD10 and did not like the fit. Tried a Scott CR1 right after and absolutely loved it.

I do really really like the way Felt's look though....
