Got a New Ride!
Have been looking for a new road bike for a while and finally came accross this 2010 Fuji SL-1 Pro Sram. It is like brand new, hardly ridden, and was able to score it for 1800.00 so I had to jump on it! I test road a SL-1 comp over the summer and was very pleased with the handling and ride of the frame, but never thought I would get a sram equipped bike. But after riding it I am in love with the double tap and the shifts are way better and quicker than my previous ultegra bike. Only thing I am planning on switching out is the Carbon wheels. At 205, I am not sure I should be riding on them.

Nice! thats a steal bro. The wheels look killer
|
that is an insane deal. congrats!
|
Looks very nice! Congrats!
|
Great deal, wheels alone are worth $700-800.
|
Thats a nice looking bike. Congrats.
|
At 205 OP should not be riding the carbon wheels?
Great bike btw. Have fun |
Holy crap. That's a great deal. Nice score. SRAM is good once you get used to it. I love the feel of it and how well-shaped the hoods are. You gotta get some hi-res pics up. Most of us like to look at pretty bike pics.
|
You are fine on those wheels at 205! Flip it, level crankarms, find white garage door...;) :thumb:
|
Well just sketchy on how well the carbon wheels will hold up to a bigger guy like me, plus I can crank pretty well. Not to mention here in iowa we are not known for our smooth roads. I will get some better pics. Thanks for the compliments!

Finally got around to taking some higher res pics, but I am far far from any kind of decent photographer. And I don't have a garage so no white garage door. I did end up changing alot of the white, it just got too dirty every time I road it and put a new saddle and stem on it. Now I just need to get my Soul wheels to show up!

WOW, that is sexy...
|
You will be fine on the wheels.
Nice ride! |
Yes, flip it.
|
That looks fantastic. I love it with the red hoods. How do you like Force? I think it's the best bang for the buck group out there.
|
Huge cosmetic improvement from your first set of photos to your second.

I am highly impressed with the Force group. The shifts are insanely quick. Way better than my previous ultegra bike. I was very skeptical about getting a sram bike because I am so used to shimano, but the double tap rocks! Plus it is easy to get used to and isn't difficult to switch between it and my shimano cross bike.

very jealous!! nice bike got to love Fuji. i got a good deal on mine but you got a better deal for sure. lucky you!!

Awesome. Yeah, Shimano is smooth, but I love the feedback you get from SRAM. I do have to say that the Force shifters are noticeably better than my Rival shifters.
really? i think you are the first person ive heard say that. do you think it could be the cables? the only reason i went with Rival is because i read that the only difference was in weight because of materials used. i know Red shifts better though. (sorry not trying to hijack your thread) |

Yeah do a lot of traveling in Iowa, roads are bad, but maybe not any worse than Minnesota. I will watch for you this summer. You see a big white Ford Pickem Up Truck watch out. I may try and steal that ride from you. Just kiddin. Nice looking bike have fun with it and ride a lot. Do the RAGBRAI with it |
Sweet ride, congrats. My Pro Machine is my first SRAM equipped bike and i love it. Running Force as well. I don't have a problem with Shimano i just prefer Doubletap shifting, SRAM hoods are much more comfortable for me as well.

The cable setups are the same and the rear derailleur is about the same between them, with the Force being just a bit faster (better spring?), but I notice it more in the front derailleur. The Force is spot-on, while the Rival has a bit of hesitation and FWIW, it's a Rival crank and front derailleur, while the Force bike uses an Ultegra crank. |
nicely done!:thumb:
