Ergomo USA Power Meters
I am looking into getting a power meter, and noted that in the past, the Ergomo power meters had both issues with accuracy as well as customer service issues.
However, I am curious since the Company obtained a new US distribution, and since time has passed (i.e. - newer models) whether people can provide me with any recent feedback as to both the performance of the power meters as well as the customer service on these products? |
no clue.

troll slowtwitch and get a cheap powertap. Got my SL+ for a song from a former Trek Livestrong member
if you want to get cheap crank-based, you might as well consider power2max, a German company. |
I thought Ergomo went out of business.
The only person I know who had one had to buy Quarq's because his stopped working and he couldn't get it repaired or service. |
From the Ergomo USA website, it looks like somebody bought up what was left of Ergomo and is liquidating old stock. At $1289, I would either buy a power tap, a used SRM, or pony up a little more and get a Quarq.
And the new Ergomo they want $2089 for, which is absurd, given what you can get a Quarq for. There is nothing in the Ergomo history, or the cryptic info on that website that would give me any confidence in an Ergomo. http://www.ergomousa.com/index.cfm/about-ergomo-usa/ |
