Last bike stolen, found the silver lining | New Cannondale Owner
So in interest of keeping a long story short I'll give the skinny: last year had a new roommate borrow my road bike only to get it stolen in Center City, the same day he moved in
While it was a Wally Mart bike, it was a great bike to me and my first road bike some 2 years ago which got me into cycling. So I was deeply upset and saddened by it's loss, and eventually my roommate paid me back, but I was still out a road bike. Although thankfully I still had my city bike, an old 80's Schwinn single speed to get around but it just wasn't the same without long 40-50 mile rides to clear my mind. So I began saving my money for a Cannondale as I always had a great love for their bikes, and like anything else you save up for and work hard for it was that much sweeter when I found the bike I had wanted:
A LBS near my parents house, where my father had gotten his new Cannondale the year before, a long needed upgrade from his old SH-600 flat bar
, had a leftover 2010 Six Carbon 5 in matte carbon and I fell in love.. after a bit of haggling I got a price I couldn't refuse..
Sadly, being a photographer I should have some better shots of the bike other than ones took with my phone but I guess I'll make it a point to take some with proper lighting and post those as well:
Here it is with LOOK Keo 2 Max's and not much else just yet:

And my city bike:

And finally, the next big purchase I've been thinking about was a set of SOUL S4.0's with red nipples.. but I'm still torn on whether the white ones would look better with the color scheme or the black with red stickers like the Shimano stock wheels.. any thoughts??

Very nice.
Word of advice: Don't let your roommate borrow it.

Beautiful bike. Take some time and save some $ to toss some Soul 3.0SL's on her and be done. You'll drop a pound of rotational weight.
Not a fan of the RS10's. Had them on my Synapse 5.
Great bike though. I'm in the process of getting a CAAD 3, but now I'm thinking Six 5. Damn it!

hahaah o believe me I learned my lesson and he won't even go near it.. he was crying about paying me back the $600 from my old bike, let alone what he thinks this one cost me.. lol
get outt?!.. that you Chris M.??.. haven't talked to you in ages man.. when'd you get into cycling?..

I know right?.. I feel horrible because I don't do it justice.. but now I'm determined to get it outside and do a proper shoot of it.. just strange for me because I'm a portrait photographer so if it's not a person I really don't know how to shoot it.. lol

But great to hear that I'm making you second guess the CAAD 3 as well..

Just "shot them in my tiny kitchen" - BASTARD!
I hate you - I can't get soft lighting and wonderful use of depth of field like that under ANY conditions!

Lovely shots! Jealous as anything!

Bad cell phone pics.....forgotten and excused.
Nice photos!
Not many people say they'll come back with nice pics, and actually deliver on really nice pics.
