Need help differentiating 3 models from Canondale

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need help differentiating 3 models from Canondale

It would be nice if someone can tell me the differences(not just a simple component name comparison) between the Cannondale SuperSix 5 105 and Synapse Carbon 5 105. I would also need a comparison between these two and the Cannondale Synapse Carbon 6 Apex. Also, out of these three bikes, which one should I get and why? It would be nice if someone can tell me which one out of these three is the lightest.

Check the frame geometries. The SuperSix is more of a racing style frame with a more aggressive geometry, while the Synapse is a more upright, comfort style frame.

Supersix 5 will likely be lightest.

105 is mid-level Shimano componentry.
Apex is entry-level SRAM componentry.

I would get the Supersix, but that's personal preference. My current bike has an aggressive racing geometry, and that's what I'm used to.

You can't go wrong with any of those bikes. If you want a more relaxed geometry for longer rides/distances, then get the Synapse. However I have ridden my CAAD10 (similar to the Supersix in geometry) in a century and felt great afterwards so it will be totally up to you. All the posts above are correct so I guess the test ride will be key for you.

I purchased the Cannondale Synapse Carbon 6 Apex and have done a few rides on it since the purchase. I love the bike, although, take it for what it is worth, as this is my first road bike and I have upgraded from a Trek 7.2 FX bike.

Just a side note, I test rode the Synapse against a Trek Madone 4.5 and thought the Synapse handled alot better, which is why I bought the Synapse.

Just buy a Trek, and then you can pretend you are Lance

Fixed that for you. But yeah, check the frame geometries.

I rode both and the Snyapse is a softer ride - I was looking for a bit more responsive ride and got a SuperSix.

Get the one you like the ride of better for what you want to do on the bike.

Synpase has a much more plush back triangle.
