It took me 3.5 weeks from day of payment to delivery. This was this past December. And every email was responded to quickly, and I was kept apprised on status. Sorry dude.

Well when I contacted him I was quoted 3-7 weeks came in the prescribed time 7 weeks.
Was it worth the wait I'd say yes rode it today felt great stiffer than my original Easton EA90 SLX was true and spoke tension is really good so I'm anticipating a wheel that will last for quite some time. I'm a pretty pecient guy so 7 weeks is fine with me especially since that's what was told.
As far as contact with Rob (Psimit) he answered my emails with in reason I'm sure he's a busy guy, as I am sometimes you just can't get to everything at once.

nice.

questions:

-what will you be using for a head unit
-what will you be using for a front wheel
-does the ptap hub come with a skewer, or do you supply your own
-what was the process that led you to select the SL versus other ptap hubs
-did you pick the spoke configuration, or did my PSI pick, or was it a collaboration between the two of you (how did you pick the spokes)

(i'm going to be in the market soon, just askin...)

I got a response within 3 days and it was on a Sunday. I'm about to bite the bullet and order the same.

#1 I'm using my Garmin 705
#2 I'm using my Easton EA90 SLX for now I may have a front built but most likely not the shape of the Kinlin XR-270 rim matches the Easton.
#3 Nothing comes with it I'm just using my Easton skewer
#4 I used the SL+ for a couple of reasons one was for the price I was able to go with the SL+ weight was also a consideration as this is mainly a wheel that will see a lot of climbing and it's only 162 g heaver than my Easton EA90 SLX bike still weighs 14.47 lbs with PT not bad.
#5 I kind of knew what I wanted but I let Rob figure out what was best for me based on my weight and needs and this is what he came up with and I agreed, after all this is what he knows so I'll listen to good advice!.

Do it. Best bike purchase I've ever made.

rbart4506 02-28-11 09:35 AM

I liked it so much I'm getting a second....Oh yea, and so is my wife...That will make 4 PT's in the household (going to be fun keeping them straight)

My wife says the same thing.

Can someone phonetically spell "PSIMET"? I read this name everyday and really have no idea how it is actually pronounced.

caloso 02-28-11 12:55 PM

Sigh - met.

My Quarq is the best bike purchase I've made. And Rob was very responsive, especially since I kept dickering about what I wanted and could afford, and he generated probably half a dozen quotes for me before I finally pulled the trigger on the Quarq. Rob is good people.

rbart4506 02-28-11 12:59 PM

I so wanted the Quarq, but when both my wife and I wanted one and already had PT's the cost forced us to stick with PT's...

aham23 02-28-11 01:12 PM

i picked up the Quarq and turned around my year old PT SL+ for not much less than i paid and never looked back. PSIMET rules. plus, i need to order more stuff. later.

You still need more stuff?

aham23 02-28-11 03:19 PM

need. want. lets not get caught up in the minor details. later.

lennyk 02-28-11 08:32 PM

good stuff, my PT pro has a few 1000miles of bad roads on them and still true as from day 1.
