Cannondale 2010 CAAD9 105 vs Trek 2011 2.1
Hi All,
I am planning to get a road bike (first) and I found good deals on 2010 model CAAD9 105 and Trek 2011 2.1. Can anyone suggest me which one is better interms of frame and components?
Thanks in advance

Either would be great first bikes. The first rode bike I ever rode consistently was a 2009 Trek 2.1. It handled anything a new road rider could throw at it with ease. The bike was my brothers so did not fit, so had to get my own road bike. Purchased the Caad 10 105 based on the rave reviews all over the internet (especially this site) and the sick black paint scheme. Most will say get Rival, but in my situation, I got what I could afford (105). Buy whichever looks the best to you, and sleep easy knowing both bikes will provide years of great riding.

I haven't ridden either of those, but have ridden an older Trek 2100, and a CAAD9. Both were great bikes, but the CAAD felt "snappier" for whatever that's worth. The frame just felt stiffer. The 2100 may have felt a bit smoother, but I can't say the CAAD felt uncomfortable.

Both are fine. I think the Trek might be a bit more "comfortable" while the CAAD may be a bit more "aggressive" in handling. If the goal is racing get the CAAD, if the goal is simply recreational rides get the Trek.
Oh yeah, above all get the one that fits best.
