About to pull the trigger on a caad but need to ask caad owners a question..
Coming from a SS6 HM and previously a Look 555, will the Caad 10 be stiff enough? I have been reading mixed reviews, some people say that the caad 10 is super stiff without any problems.
On the other hand, some people are saying that the seat stays are really soft and the bottom bracket tends to develop cracks for heavier riders. I weigh 170-175lb, to people with first hand experience is the frame too soft? I currently ride a 2010 ss6 HM with a force bb30 crankset and all I have to say is that it is way stiffer than I can handle... Hopefully the caad 10 will be the same or similar. I haven't test ridden one yet but hopefully soon. Thanks for the input. |
I'm on a CAAD8 with many miles of no cracking trouble. I'm 180 ish. It is stiff enough as far as I'm concerned for my riding. Group rides, solo miles, various terrain and hills. It is a very comfortable ride that I enjoy.
