Is it safe to do tricks with a folding MTB?
Hi! I'm GDA, and im new here. So please forgive if this a newbQ or in the wrong section. :)
I'm Planning on buying a new bike, a folding duel suspension MTB.I want to know will it be safe to do tricks on it. You know manuals, wheelies, stopples, drops, whips, and so on. OR is it likely to collapse in on me. Here's the bike im planning on buying... http://www.amazon.com/COLUMBA-Double...=1LVLABHV04OB4 |
this is the road cycling forum, so while some people might have advice anyway, you might have better luck trying either...
1. the folding bikes forum, or 2. the mountain bike forum welcome to BF, and i hope you get an answer |
That bike isn't safe for mountain biking, much less tricks. Those are designed pretty much to be left locked to a bike rack somewhere while they rust away..

Thanks a lot. *Moved*

When you say tricks, do you mean taking it on some sweet jumps?
|
Of course! Nothing beyond a 5ft drop though.

I hope you have health insurance

I think the only trick you need to worry about is escaping this forum without getting too beat up.
With that said: Your bike must be a hooker for it to be doing tricks like that. The ones that involve whips and stopples I hear cost extra. |
Since the original poster created a duplicate thread in the mtb forum I'm going to close this one.
