Does anyone have any experience with Titus bikes?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They're well known in MTB circles and have a very strong following.
They're not so well known for their aluminum and custom Ti road bikes but that doesn't mean they're not good. Pretty much all their road frames are based on a compact design and have similar geometry to the old Schwinn fastback road frames so they handle really nice.

Hmm this thread is getting little play I see. So no one riding one? I am a little worried that me at 220 is too much for this bike at 2.4 Lbs (frame). They got a fairly good review in Bycycling Magazine...anyone?

I've had a Ti FCR for 2 seasons and it's been great. Comfortable, plenty stiff and handles fantastic. When I first got it I planned on using it for racing only. I like it so much that it probably gets an additional 4k per year on it on top of racing.

I'm only 160 pounds at 6'1" (also ride the Ti model) so I cannot speak for the durability of the U-drop under a 200+ pound rider. If I were you, I'd give them a call and see what they say.

I have a RacerX mtn bike and am lusting after the FCR Ti Road bike. It's a great bike. However, I'm quite small so I don't worry about durability.
