Dura Ace 7900 Chain on Ultegra 6600 Rear Derailleur

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dura Ace 7900 Chain on Ultegra 6600 Rear Derailleur

Anyone know if this will work. I don't see any reason why it would not but would love some confirmation on that.

6600 Derailleurs
6700 Cassette
7900 Chainset??

The chain is designed to work with the ramps/pins on the cassette and chainrings; the side platse don't touch the RD so it really doesn't matter.

I only use Dura-Ace chains with my Ultegra RD, cassettes & cranks. I even have a SRAM cassette I use it on. Works fine on all. They sell for about the same as Ultegra chains, especially when on sale at shops.

I don't think it matters. I have a DA chain, DA cassette, and an Ultegra 6700 derailleur. I also swap wheels to one that has a 105 cassette, so all three platforms. I think the major difference in the derailleurs and cassettes is in the materials (titanium and carbon). The brifters and the cabling are probably more sensitive to intermixing.

It will work fine. DA7900 chains have a left side and a right side and need to be installed the correct way round, but providing this is done there should be no problems.
