Still riding mine. Best saddle for my backside. I'll replace it with another if I ever need to.

I have Romin's on both my road and my mountain bike....it's totally the bee's knees for me as well. Prior to that, some of my fav's were the Regal and the original Flite. I've tried tons of other saddles over the years and those are the only one's really ever worked for me.

I just went through this process... ended up with the Selle Max Flite Gel Flow ( 146 ) vs. the 150 you said you need. Selle also makes the "MAN" gel flow that's 151. When I tried the Toupe 155, it was cutting my hamstrings each pedal stroke, so it was too big for me. I tried the Toupe 143, but it didn't even compare to the Selle in comfort and materials. I also have an Fizik Aliante that I really like, but it's not great for long rides because it's more of a "stay in one spot" kind of saddle. if you move around alot, it gets to be a little harsh on the nads.

I just purchased a 155 Romin Gel to replace my old Planet Bike ARS "sofa cushion" saddle.

Did 65 miles on it first time out this morning. I had originally installed it "level" and I could not really find a comfortable position. I thought I should give it a few miles but 3/4 of the way through the ride, I decided to adjust it with a slight slant forward.

That made a huge improvement in comfort and the saddle seemed to almost disappeared under me.

I think some more experimenting with position and a few more rides will determine if I can handle such transition.

I like to ride longer distances and will be riding RAGBRAI this year for the first time. I hope to have this saddle dialed in for it.

Had a Toupe, very nice saddle. The Arione absolutely chaffed me raw on a single ride.

BUT my saddle of choice now is the Specialized Romin. I used to get sort of sore sitting on the Toupe for extended periods of time and when I really wanted to get on the nose to TT it was not comfortable. The Romin fixed all that, the wider nose makes it much more comfortable to place myself right over the pedals and mash. One downside is that it is certainly harder to "move" around on the Romin then the Toupe although personally I like the fact that I don't really creep around on it.

I went avatar (not good >50mi) -> arione (nicer to sit bones some numbness)-> antares (pretty good, did century rides on it, but some residual numbess) -> toupe (pretty much "it")

I tried Romin recently on a demo from my LBS, found it to be a nice saddle, but really don't have any complaints with the toupe. Did a 200K on it recently, zero issues. As it should be.

I just bought a Specialized Toupe Pro in white two weeks ago, coming off a Selle San Marco SKN saddle. I know many on the forum are saying that the seat is amazing but as one poster mentioned it's a very personal question as to whether or not a saddle is going to work for you.

That said, im looking to unload my saddle. i can't return it so i'll trade or sell it to anyone offering a good bid. i LOVE the shape and look of the Toupe but even after being fitted for it, my 130 causes quite a bit of sit-bone soreness for me.

So to answer the OP question, go to a shop that will allow you to return &/or exchange the Toupe if it doesn't work out for you.

I have several 143 Toupes on my ebay "watch list" right now. If I can come away with a good deal, I hope to be trying it out next weekend.
