I only weigh 115lbs. Coincidentally, I run my tires at 115 (mostly due to a bunch of crap roads out here). Anything lower than 110 and you get [more] pinch flats and even less efficiency while riding.
Besides, my major point was that it wasn't due to 'high pressure'.
(By the way, just noticed italicization doesn't show up in quotes. Is there a forum for recommending HTML updates here?)

As to the OP's question, I carry what I need to be able to ride back home, under almost any possible circumstance. You can't fix everything, but having the ability to fix most common problems is the goal.
My minimum is 2 tubes, patches, Co2 and minipump, bike multi-tool, spoke wrench, cash/ID/credit card, a little extra bike food (gels/Clif bar), and cell phone. All this stuff except the phone/money and ID stays on the bike, and gets replaced immediately as it's used up. I'm always ready to ride, and know it's always there.
Even if you don't know how to use all this stuff, chances are someone will be along that does. I'm not very inclined to help someone who hasn't taken even basic steps to help themselves. If you make the effort, however, you might be surprised to find out just how many of us will go out of our way to help you get going again.

You're going to make some learned recommendation about "HTML updates" but can't find and use the "Forum Suggestions and User Assistance" forum?
