Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which bike should i get?

I am looking at four bikes for sale on craigslist. They are all $250. I am not looking to spend any more than that cause this is my first road bike.

I know a lot of you are going to say that I should save up and buy a better bike but i'm looking to just get into cycling

#2 & #3 are the same listing

How tall are you ? The red KHS looks like it's more for someone around 5' 5"
The orange Trek is oldest with down tube shifters. Integrated shifters are more convenient.

Being in Rochester, I highly suggest going to the RCommunity shop in the city, and checking out what they have for sale. Their website is at https://www.rcommunitybikes4sale.net/...e/Welcome.html

They rebuild bikes and give them away for free to needy people. However, they also sell bikes at a very, very low cost to finance their operations. Stop by and you'll probably have at least a dozen bikes that might meet your needs, and that are certainly less expensive than the Craigslist bikes you're looking at.

The Trek might be the best deal but without knowing the condition or model of components on the bike I would pass. Your best bet is to find some cycling buddies and have them help you find a bike.
