Nashbar Fastrack Roller Belt Help
I was given a set of rollers made by Nashbar. The exact model is the Fastrack with resistance. Last night, the belt, which mounts to the rear roller and resistance unit snapped. I cut it, melted it and got it to bond back together, but it didn't last more than 10 minutes before snapping again.
My questions are: 1. When ordering these belts online, I'm seeing dimensions to fit my drum of 4.5", but the length is roughly 66" and 72", which are way too long for my model. Do the belts come connected, or do you measure, cut and melt to form the belt size you need? 2. Has anyone experienced this with this model? 3. I looked for this belt in a vacuum store and home depot and was unable to find something close. Online looks like roughly $20, but I can't imagine shelling out that much for a lousy belt that may break again soon. Any recommendations on where to search? 4. If I forgo the resistance unit and mount a belt on the opposite side, will that give me enough resistance to provide an adequate training session? I tried to ride it without any belt and it's just not the same. 5. Should I just scrap this project all together and purchase a new set from nashbar? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
