Alternative Contour HD camera mounts
Given the large amount of videos taken and posted these days with these cameras and given how popular they have become, I assume there has to be a ton of different ways of attaching these to the helmet and bike itself.
Show me your way of attaching these cameras. I am not talking about the sold accessories, but you can post those too. I am interested in seeing the way people attach these to handlebars, seat posts, and helmets.

OK, I guess we are slow tonite. Here are a couple of pict of mine. it doesn't look that way from looking at the way it is on the helmet, but when I am on the bike and looking forward, it is aimed right at the middle of the road ahead of me. Pretty stable and not heavy, but I know for sure it is there once it is in place. What you don't see is that there are a couple of zip ties holding it attached to the helmet.

I just tried to mount mine underneath the stem using their extra large mount and cracked the retaining nut (plastic) trying to get it tight enough. I should have a modified/new mount in a few days.

I used the Contour handlebar mount, but didn't like the shaky footage. I now use the helmet mount on the left side ("10:30" position on a Lazer Genesis) which is nice and steady.
When I tried the helmet mount in the position you show, the weight of the camera had too much leverage and caused my helmet to tilt too much to the side.
I have gone on rides in excess of 100 miles with the helmet cam and haven't found the weight to be an issue.

When I did mine in the helmet, the vented helmet mount had not come out, so of all the attachments they sent with the camera, this was the only thing I could use to attach it. Works pretty well, and despite the way it looks, it does not actually pulls the helmet to one side. When I first put it on, I am conscious of it being there and fiddle with the helmet for a few seconds, but after that, I even forget it.

I'm sure you could use the same vented helmet mount to use under/above the stem. Get some pipe insulation material and cut it the same width as the camera mount. Wrap the stem with it and them put the helmet mount around it as tight as you can. Should prevent vibration AND hold it in place more than just fine. If you are really worry about it falling off, simply put a zip tie or two.

Interesting. What's the material between the mount and the fork?

JB Weld Steel Stik putty shaped around fork and ground down to shape I have an old inner tube over the fork to protect the fork leg.
When I shaped the putty I also had the inner tube on it and used wax on it as a release agent for the putty.
Heres a video using it https://youtu.be/5eho5OThaXo

Making one now for helmet and bars made same way by molding them all the brackets they sell are not stable and shake a lot, the closer the camera is to the mounting surface the more stable it is, I also tryed the GoPro bar mount and made an adapted it to the Contour but had to much vibration also.
The wheel noise is much better than wind to stop wind I applied some foam weather stripping over the mic hole to stop all the wind noise.

For front-facing, I totally detached the mount from the stupid handlebar ball-bearing swivel they sell that only work on skinny bars, then rounded the base a bit and coated it with tooldip to smooth it out.
A couple wraps of some elasticized strap with a velcro end, and it's on the handlebars:
For rear-facing, I modified the goggle strap mount to accept a seat bolt:
Ground down the bolt head:
Bolted it onto the upper rail mount (after grinding the mount a bit to fit on the small amount of exposed rails):
Snap in my contour:
