The long cage Rival only allows the use of a triple crank. To use the 32 cassette, you need an Apex or SRAM MTB derailer.
The cage length only determines amount of slack chain the derailer can take up, not the size of cassette it can handle.

I am going to be nice here. Dude, already HedTFU when I am climbing up 15%+ grades and national forests. IMO, there's nothing wrong with spinning up monstrous climbs.

Maybe they don't anymore... my buddy has a non-Series SRAM triple on his Giant.
I could be SRAM phased out all their triple as they move their WiFLi technology up the group lines.
