Sidi Cycling Shoes
Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade to the Sidi Ergo 2 carbon lite shoes. Unfortunately, the nearest dealer is ~1.5 hours away and I'm not driving that far to try on shoes. All the sizing charts I've found on the internet seem to say something different. So, anyone that owns these shoes, anything to compare the sizing to? Do they run small/large/true to size? I wear a US 12.5 so I will either go 47 or 48.
I appreciate all of your insight/suggestions.
Thanks!

The full size and the next up half size share the same last (length). Only that the half size up has more volume. I have a low volume foot so I never get the half size.

I wear a 13 in athletic shoes and a 12 in dress shoes. I have size 48 ergo 2s and there is a little extra length but a 47 would probably be too small.

Seem true to size for me. I have a pair of 6.6 and I am a size 12. Size 47 works great for me.

Fwiw, I found a distinct difference in fit between a 44 and a 44.5; the 44.5 was better for me (45 was too big). Great shoes. Good luck OP. Zappos might carry them (free ship and return).

1.5 hours isn't THAT bad of a drive. normally its a 20-25 minute drive to my bike shop but with traffic and construction it can easily be an hour. throw in some tunes and go get em! plus you wont have to wait for shipping. they are awesome shoes and worth the drive.

I'm 11.5. The 46's (while seeming too narrow at first) were spot on for me.
And, if you're going to spend that much money on a pair of shoes,
I strongly suggest you make the drive to try them on.
It'll pay off for the rest of the time you own them.
IMO, they "are" worth the effort.
1) Sidi 2's will go on sale (great potential for savings)
2) 2 owners will get 3's and comparisons will inevitably come (looking forward to that)
From what I understand, the main difference will be the vented sole (?) and tongue strap (?), but that the shoe uppers are slightly modified 2's. If that's the case, I believe the extra venting will be very noticeable and possibly worth an upgrade from my spanking new 2's, but I'm in no rush.

I too wear a size 12 dress shoes and the Sidi 6.6 in 47 is just barely a tad too tight and 48 would be too big. 47.5 would have been perfect in my opinion.

This. Sidi's don't fit me. The toe box is too pointy. Don't try jamming your foot into something that's not comfortable from the start. Unless it's a ski boot, then excruciating initial pain is mandatory.

Ditto for the exact same sizing. It's hard to find 44.5's, but PBK finally had them at a decent price a month ago. My foot volume is small, but length-wise, the 44's are too small and the 45's too big.
