Extra Small

I'm having trouble finding jerseys, shorts and bibs that fit. Does anyone know of some good brands or places to look for extra small apparel? I've tried Castelli and race cut jerseys but they're still a little big. Any suggestions?

Maybe you have to step down to juniors. Nobody makes XS for mens except Craft.

Head over to the women's section.

Not kidding.

Well, I'm 5'7" 170lbs, and I somehow need an extra large Giordana or Assos jersey (else I look like I'm wearing a skinsuit), so I'll bet their smalls are pretty damned small.

try baby gap or babies r us..

Giordana makes a men's X-Small.

Buy online from a European shop. Plenty of xs sizes.

Most Euro smalls are actually an XS in the US. I'm a rather small guy and most of the products I buy are S/M in euro sizing. Check out Nalini and Santini for jerseys and shorts. Also in the US Voler has some XS for sale.

If you can't fit into Castelli I don't know what to suggest. I tried on an XL and looked like 10lbs of 'chit in a 5lb sack.

Is the one in my avatar small enough?

Or just...

try finding something with a race cut? You belong to a club? Usually you choose between a club cut or race cut when ordering a kit with a club or a team....

skinny people of the world unite and take over

I'm in same boat as you. You can try some kids sizes but they tend be poor quality. Voler sells xs but I have a pair and they run large(like most Americans). If you can find a euro brand in size 1, well let me know.

voler doesn't run large... I wear a S jersey and S bibs and they fit perfect - I'm 5'6" 135 lbs. only 1 in 15 or 20 men i meet are shorter or smaller than I am

rodieartist 06-03-11 02:08 PM

Haha excellent. If I find anything I'll let you know.

Shimagnolo 06-03-11 02:12 PM

Try jerseys with polka dots;
They tend to run small.

I'm actually a girl but even the women's apparel is a little large

Oh sorry I thought you were a dude.

If the smallest women's apparel does not fit, you may have to check out the kids' section.

Most women's clothing should go down to size XS, and as mentioned above, try to stick to the european brands, they tend to run smaller. Your LBS may not stock much in XS, but they should be willing to order it for you to try with no problem. As for shorts/bibs, try the really small men's sizes. They may run longer down your leg (most women's shorts seem to stop mid thigh, where most men's go down to the knee... no idea why), but men's shorts should fit snugger, which may solve your problem there.

Capo & Giordana run smaller than Castelli.

Keep an eye on Colorado Cyclist - sign up for their email alerts, clothes go on random sale all the time.

The Cortina jersey on sale now is my favorite jersey, except it only has 2 pockets - but the pockets are really big. Black is better than white, the fabric is really sheer. The Stella jersey is club-cut.

Also, my club uses Primal, and their jerseys run on the small side (probably still too big for you).
