Lance coming to Harpeth River Ride

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lance coming to Harpeth River Ride

It was announced yesterday that Lance Armstrong and some team Radio Shack riders will be riding in the June 11th Harpeth River Ride in Franklin, TN.

Guess I need to train harder.

The couple of times I've run into him he's been very approachable. Whatever else anybody thinks of him he is friendly and easy to talk to.

It's a good course. One of my team mates rode with the Radio Shack boys at Harpeth last year. On one climb, he said...damn..my HR is 180. Radio Shack rider: Mine is too but the difference is that I can go up to 215 old man.

A company I worked for deals in sports memorabilia and does signings. Lance was there to sign like 400 items. He was a really cool guy. most people when they are doing signings are dicks they just want to get it over with an wont bother with anyone.

I've been signed up for HRR several weeks ago and have done this ride 4 years straight. I talked for a while with Matt Bouche from the Radio shack team after the ride last year and he was really nice.

I think i probably should get there early....heck I could ride to the start if I need to. The ride goes right past the entrance to my neighbor hood on its way to downtown Franklin.

You should ask him if he ever took EPO, or blood doped.

Ask yourself what does Lance have in common with many recent scandal prone politicians?
