Prius and Saris Bones RS compatible?
I was thinking about getting a trunk mounted rack for the 2011 Prius. Would love to get a Saris Bones RS for its features and simplicity. Went to the Saris site and it does not show it as being compatible with the Prius. However, driving in town the other day, I saw a Prius with one on. It was going the other direction and saw only briefly, so couldn't tell where the legs were resting.
Do you have one of these on your prius? Feedback??

I'm asking specifically about the Bones RS. And although it may be a great rack, the back glass and spoiler design of the new Prius does not allow for just about anything to used.

Had no effects on my 08 prius. The straps on the racks contact the spoiler and apply downward pressure. That was the only reason the bones 3 was not indicated for use on the Prius ------ per customer service. Lp

No, I don't think it is... you risk cracking/breaking the spoiler. A friend of mine needed a rack as well, and ended up getting a model-specific hitch & rack for his Prius. I have the Saris T-bones 3 and absolutely love it. It comes with a spare base (for when it's not on the hitch), and that doubles as my workstand.
It's super light, even my gf doesn't mind installing it!

This has nothing to do with your question but I love the fact that I can get my 58cm cross bike inside the Prius without removing the front wheel. Everything I try to put in the Prius barely fits but does. I love that car. My wife loves hers to and my next car will be the new plugin Prius next year. Cheers
