I wanted a Luna soooo bad when they came out. They look amazing in person - although I thought it was more pearl white than silver. Still - nice bike!

Not 55Rad quality . . . The climb to Mt. Rushmore was interesting -- 30 mph headwind, gusting to 45, 2 miles, 10% grade. At one point I reached perfect balance as the wind literally stopped me in my tracks.

Litespeed Tuscany and it's been flipped and unflipped.

Yup, cruds. I take this guy out in all the conditions where I'd rather not take the Tarmac and so needed a fender that could fit. The cruds do well and are pretty awesome. I think most of my mechanics at my shop are ordering some for their bikes after seeing them on Calamity.

@bmohan Nice Luna. Post some more pics of it - I'm completely unfamiliar with the bike and thought I knew the Bianchi line pretty well.

Very nice. I too hadn't seen one of these. I've got the same frame in carbon and Veloce. It's a sweet ride!

Oh, BTW post some pictures in the "Show me your Bianchi" thread.

Here are a few more. Got the bike last fall off Craigslist after searching for a very long time. Had my Bianchi Eros for 14 years and just knew the replacement had to be another Bianchi but honestly I don't care for celeste (blasphemy I know!) but fell in love with this. Oh, it's very fast and comfortable, I ride it all the time. I have Bianchi Black/Silver carbon water bottle cages on order from China...

speedemon, that Seven is gorgeous. Reminds me of Costanza. That stem is fat - what kind is it?

Thanks, that is an Oval Concepts R700 stem.

Speedeom, both bikes are incredibly nice. Seems like you definitely have a preferred style. Ti with Blue logos, carbon fork, black saddle and tape. Those bikes almost look identical. Though i am sure using the same wheels for the pictures help facilitate their likeness.

No, the wheels are totally different also, as the Seven is using the premium components a full DA 7800 with Ksyrium SL wheels and the Litespeed is using a full Ultegra 6503 with Ksyrium Elite wheels.

X-LinkedRider 06-08-11 08:16 AM

Did not even notice that. I saw that the DA/Ultegra components were different. But the wheels i actually thought were the same until you pointed it out. Do you ever start riding the wrong bike by accident?

No not really, not much of a different feel as the Seven is lighter and less effort to ride. but in realty it's only less than 2 pounds difference.

WowWow! What a beautiful pair of bikes!

It's almost rare to have a chance to look at the subtle differences in fine rolling stock like this.

(and bonus points for the perfectly correct way to use a garage door!)

I say ***** yes that's 5 stars for presentation!

So my question is:

Which bike for a fast descent?

55/Rad 06-08-11 08:23 PM

I'll say it again. I love the Litespeed but given the choice, I'll take the Seven.

Sweet bikes...

LesterOfPuppets 06-08-11 08:25 PM

A filthy winter pic is the best one I can find of my Mongoose. It's more of a pewter, but still in the general vicinity of silver.

Of course the Seven, but I don't plan on getting rid of the Litespeed anytime soon.

Who makes that bar tape? Is it really that shiny? I like it. I put Fizik silver bar tape on my bike, but it looks a bit too much like duct tape for my taste.

Yep, it really is that shiny. :D It's not slick either. Good grip and extremely durable. Only downside is it is a little stiff and not super easy to wrap with. It's made by F.U.B.A.R. Cheap too. :)

I was wondering when the Hampsten would jump in the tread. Looks great with those wheels and the Enve fork. I love the headbadge.
