Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seat Post

Help Please, I need a seat post with more than 25 mm set back. The only one I can seem to Google is by FSA. I also tried the searching on the forums with no luck. Is there any other manufacturer that makes one with more than 25 mm set back?

Thanks For The Help

If you need to get more stretched isnt better just get a bike with more ST angle like 74 degrees because they have more reach to start with and because they should be more balanced than being seated basically half wheel back leaving almost no weight in the front?

Yes, why do you need so much set back????

Ritchey makes a couple of carbon seatposts with a 25mm setback.

Given the stats you have listed, I find it highly unlikely that you would need greater than 25mm of setback. I would get a proper fitting done.

+1 on the above 5'7" with 28" inseam on a 54cm frame I don't see how you would need a setback seat post like you are asking for, but you may who knows but it dosen't sound right.

i also doubt you need more set back. heck im 5'7" with a 30" inseam and ride a 52cm bike. i think you are trying to increase reach and trying to do so with more set back. if thats the case you shouldnt and instead get a longer stem.

how long are your cranks?

Thanks for the help. I guess I need to save up and get a proper fitting. I just spent my spare cash putting a ultegra 6500 group and arione saddle on it. The cranks are 172.5. I just put on a longer stem when I traded out the stock one and dropped the handle bars. I might have miss understood the guy at the bike shop when I asked him about my position on the bike.
