Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Finally finished my French touring bike build. Here she is by some frozen water on the bluffs above the Mississippi River in Saint Paul:

Absolutely gorgeous composition. It really gives me tropic-itis - I need sand and palm trees very badly. I remember when I lived on the coast, how we quickly took it for granted. But after being back in Minnesota for over twenty-five years now, I do miss it so.

Thanks for the great photo!

Beautiful pic! Love B&W. When I had a red and white bike there was a cool Photoshop Express filter that would turn everything but red to b&w, the red would be a little subdued. Now i'm on a black bike so I don't get to do those cool pics.

@franswa, You have achieved that "over-exposed/under-developed" effect that was made famous by Ansel Adams here. What editing software do you use?

Thanks Kevin. While I personally am not interested in using selective color, your images came out great.

Thanks! The scene lent itself to the contrast you are admiring.

Shot on my iPhone and edited with Snapseed app.
