What Brand Is Your Frame?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What Brand Is Your Frame?

Just curious so please use the poll above. Everyone keeps telling me how much of the market belongs to the big four, but reading this board it seems like most people here don't have one of the big four.

Sorry if I snubbed your bike, I didn't mean to!!!

If you, like me, have multiple bikes, please reference your favorite or the road bike you ride most.

Most people "really serious" don't care about bike shwag or what they're riding nearly as much as the layman poster here in the 41.

Fuji is the bike that I ride. Not sure if they manufacturer their own frames, but that is my addition.

I ride a Calfee Tetra Pro. I also have an old Panasonic that now functions as a clothes line to hang my bike clothes.

I rode my Gazelle today.

I have others, some of which appear as choices on your poll.

Sorry, I'm kinda new to biking, but who is the fourth? I know of Trek, Cannondale, and Giant as being probably the 3 biggest companies, but when it comes to many the other companies such as Raleigh, Schwinn, Fiji, GT, Diamondback, ext; I don't consider any of them as big of names. Not calling them any worse. Just not as common of names that your average non-bike enthusiast would know.

BTW; I own a Raleigh, Dyno, and Highly Modified WallyWorld Mongoose.

I'm riding a Fastrax frame this season. Try figuring that one out.

WOW, can't believe that I've never heard of them. And here I thought I new quite a few different brands, and I didn't even know one of the biggest companies.

You might have included a discrete choice for custom and boutique builders too.

lol NP I didn't mean to sound like a dick.

I've been competitive and training seriously for more than a few years now and i've also been on more than a few different bikes. The differences a margnial.

When I get excited about getting something new it's just for that reason, that it's new. I don't ever expect any serious performance difference from one brand to the next, within a comparable frame type/price tier.

Marinoni - 1
Norco - 1

Eyeing some CF bikes, but a purchase is at least a year off........

BTW, OP - when I think "Department Store" I think Next, Roadmaster, Huffy, etc. The ones you listed I'd classify as "Mail Order", not "Dept Store". JMO.

hmmm.... I don't think of Performance Bike as a mail order store. It's definitely a big department store for bikes. I think the ones here are probably all 10,000 sq ft or more.

Either way, we're splitting hairs now, and thats why I gave examples is to clarify what I meant.

I'm sorry!! Like I said, only ten choices. I listed the ones I thought of and consolidated where I remembered to consolidate. I guess the choices are flawed, but I would have needed 20+ options to list everything.

I always thought they were pretty legit.
