Head tube cable guide?
I randomly came across this on another forum. It looks like it was added on but it might be stock on Look frames. This would be a great solution for cable rub on your head tube.
Any ideas where to get one?
thanks!

Hey Steve, another solution to avoiding cable rub on the frame is to do what Giant does to its higher end TCR and what Trek does to its Madone 6.9 model, they cross the shift cables. Shift cable housing that would normally go on the right side of the headtube would be placed on the left side and vice versa for the other cable, then the actual cables underneath the downtube get crossed. This minimizes cable rub to the headtube.
Or you can be lazy like me and just put clear tape over the area of concern and be done with it.

I crisscross the shifter cables on all my bikes. Minimizes all the bends in the cables...but those cable guides on the Look are pretty awesome!

those Look cable guides appear as if they would cause some binding or at least a kink point in the cable. Certainly early wear of the sheath.

anyone know why companies don't just put cable stops on the head tube to begin with? that's how they are in my Lynskey. Makes sense to me

I just put a little dot of self-adhesive velcro there. It is barely visible. It also helps that the color on that part of my bikes work well with white and black velcro.
