Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

OK maybe it's a dumb posting...but no more so than the recent tattoo thread...

I have two items that I consider at least semi-cycling related or inspired.

1. My wedding ring. Original one got lost doing the leaves about 5 years ago, I got a Ti one (off ebay for about 12 bucks BTW). Love it. Wear it 24/7/365. Nice and light.

2. Handmade bicycle chain bracelet. Made it out of extra links lying around and a master link for easy on/off. Rarely wear it but I have a reception tonight and will put it on.

I have one of those too. My wife said they are known as al-Qaeda watches!

I don't but if I did, I might consider this "lug ring" from KU.

Not intentionally...but in hindsight I have long suspected that the "custom Titanium wedding band" that I paid several hundred dollars for (years before I became immersed/obsessed with cycling) was something knocked out in 10 seconds from a chunk of 6/4 Ti tubing in some bicycle framebuilder's shop.

This thread should belong in the "I don't give a rat's ass" category. Or SNL's "Really" sketch.

Bottomline, wear what you want. For me, at worst it shouldn't impede safety at worst; at best it should mprove safety/efficiency/performance.

You had a spare nipple? That's more shocking than the Prince Albert.

I also used to have a simplex DT shift lever that I used as a keychain but I don't think that counts.

I have quite a bit of cycling jewellery. I won a necklace with a bicycle pendant in a crit, and then I collected two pairs of earrings, another necklace, and a broach ... all with bicycles.

I also have numerous bicycle ornaments.
