Fi'zi:k Microtex with Fi'zi:k Gel Pads:
(very comfortable combo for me)

so, with the moral obligation to search out an existing thread...

tried the fi'zi:k bar tape. previously always used cork or gelcork. I cannot say why it is so nice. The bar is rock hard, yet I don't get hand fatigue? (didn't change anything else on the bike) That is awesome. Read on another thread about pulling it tight, and I must say I felt like I was hanging off the bike trying to wrap them

How is Lizard Skin when your hands get sweaty? I don't normally wear gloves.

For me, Lizard Skin goes from being awesomely grippy w/ dry hands, but becomes a slippery pain in the ass when my hands get sweaty. I had to start wearing gloves. As soon as I feel I've gotten my money's worth out of it, its gone.

FWIW, Bontrager grippy tape, (with the stitches) is just about the grippiest tape I've ever used. The Stella Azzura stuff is the same.

Am I the only one who thinks the OP needs to scoot down to Ye Olde Byke Shoppe and acquire some gloves? OP, are you an anti-glove-ite, do you have six fingers on each hand, not like the look? The right glove will seriously help you with your issue.

im not a fan of fizik tape. ive used it a few times and its expensive and has a tendency to crack and tear over time (though it does look very stylish) its also too thin and does not seem like its that flexible. my all time favorite tape is the profile design foamy tape (without adhesive back). its stretchy, durable, grippy and washes easily. and its usually 9 bucks.

Deda. Currently running Cinelli on a friends recommendation, but when its time to change, back to deda I'll go!

Another vote for Lizard Skin. Durable, comfortable, all that good stuff.

It's been mentioned... Bontrager. Cheap and comfy.

I go back & forth between Fizik & Lizard Skins. If you use white tape, just know that the LS will get dirty much faster than the Fizik.

Deda Celeste for my cross bike because I like the theme and it's spongy. Soft touch Fizik Microtex for my road bikes. Fantastic stuff and plenty grippy for me.

specifically I have to ride without gloves right now because my right 3rd finger is broken, I am not about to wear one glove and leave the other hand bare, so no gloves for me for the next two weeks.(two weeks down already)
