Trying on shorts in stores...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trying on shorts in stores...

So they're meant to be worn without undies... and I'm about to shop for some more shorts, not online since sizes vary too much and I hate dealing with returns. Do people actually try them on after taking it all off with bare bottoms? I don't think stores will wash or spray them. Just wanna know the "norm" for these clothing, though for now I'll keep my underlayers on in case...

When trying them on in-store, keep your undies on. Understand that this may make them feel slightly tighter than normal in spots depending on "boxers or briefs".

Yes, be safe and keep YOUR undies on when trying them on...cause you never know.

Order a couple sizes online and try them on when they get delivered. Return the ones that don't fit, and they will repackage them and the cycle will continue.

Throw on a pair of compression shorts. They're tight enough and slim enough they shouldn't make a difference to the fit.

Come on man!

Have you ever taken your wife/GF/SO bathing suit shopping? Have you seen the sign about wearing undies above the changing room door?

Same applies here.

We, in the shop would greatly appreciate your keeping your undies on. I am assuming you would prefer that someone who had tried on the shorts you may now be checking had done the same thing.
