Lapierre R Lite 400 FDJ

Hey guys! I'm still in the market for my first road bike and came across a pretty nice Lapierre today. It is a 2010 R Lite 400 FDJ, which is decently price at my LBS. I was wondering what kinds of experiences (if any) do you lot have with Lapierre cycles? Is this bike a good one?

Thanks! :thumb:

never ridden one, but lapierre was the first bike for which i had lust. based on reputation and no personal experience, they are quality bikes.

I had a Lapierre X-lite 400 FDJ. Bought it purely for the design and color scheme. It developed a crack on the inside of a chainstay after a year. Since it was secondhand, I did not attempt to warranty it. I'll send it over to Calfee for repair on a whim one day.

Oh as for the frame itself... The one standout was the very nicely tapered, oversized headtube with a beefy tapered fork. The one quirk with this race-oriented frame was that it had a comparatively tall headtube. I would love to rebuild this one day.

First road bike? Make sure the geometry on this bike is going to work for you as it is "race" geometry. ie long top tube. Good luck, very nice bike. Just very thin USA distribution.
