It would take a bit more than that for you to gain credibility.

Yeah, I guess this means Zipps suck.

This isn't very good advice, it doesn't make any sense - considering a parsec is a unit of distance.

you have zero credibility saying something is sub-par when you have zero experience on it.
I can say it is a heck of a lot better than 7900 but 7800 is better than 7900. DI2 is good on a TT rig and that's about it.

Haven't you heard? It's not about the bike!

Best answer. Even know I notice a difference when climbing at slower speeds because of the weight. They really shine at higher speeds. The higher the better. I can hold 28-30mph a lot longer, and easier with my 404 tubies than any other wheel I own. If all you can muster is 19mph on a 20mile ride, it either better be all hills, or you don't need Zipps yet. No 404 tubies for you!

My favorite 'sandbag' move on group rides which usually involve triathletes (nothing against them, seriously), is to take my mountain bike on a group ride with a hilly course. I'll pedal like mad to just keep up on the flats and downhills (the gearing gets maxxed out, so I'm hitting 130+rpm usually) but then on the climbs, it comes down mostly to power/weight and not aeroness, so you can thrash all the guys who aren't as strong but are rocking $2k+ Zipp wheels, aero frames, and aero helmets. Did that last year on a Thanksgiving ride, and brought my 33lbs commuter hardtail with a rear rack. Got some really doutful looks and even some comments about 'he's not gonna keep up' at the start, but they all changed their tune after the first climb. Nothing like a good sandbag, heh heh.
